Tradewind Yorkshire, are looking to recruit multiple 1:1 Special Educational Needs (SEN) support assistants on behalf of our client primary schools, in the Huddersfield area to support children throughout our schools. These positions are to assist children within the mainstream classroom in a primary school who require additional support on a day-to-day basis to engage them in the lessons. You will work closely with the class teacher and other members of staff to develop strategies to help the children reach their individual potential. You would be supporting with the pupil's academic work and supporting managing their behaviour.

The ideal candidate would:

  • Have previous experience of working with pupils with SEN.
  • Be able to demonstrate your ability to build professional relationships with pupils.
  • Have a fun but firm presence.
  • Have an interest in education.
