Join our dedicated team at an all-through alternative education provision in Huddersfield.Key Responsibilities:

  • Adopt strategies to support the teacher and enhance the achievement of all students, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Promote and facilitate inclusion by encouraging the participation of all students in learning activities.
  • Assist class teachers in maintaining good order and discipline amongst students.
  • Organise and manage the teaching space, developing resources to create a stimulating and safe learning environment.
  • Lead small groups and one-on-one teaching sessions, and cover classes as needed under supervision.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with students with SEN in the UK.
  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
  • A proactive and caring attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in planning and delivering lessons.
