The Business:

An established company, based in Hull is looking for an Administrator to join the finance team, who will help and support the business. 

Employing circa 300 people and operating from multiple sites in the UK, the organisation has grown tremendously over the last 10 years and now the finance team comprises 16 staff and handles more than 15,000 transactions a month, with a value of more than c.£30m and growing, across multiple accounts.
 

The Opportunity:

  • Reporting into the accounts Team Leader, the primary responsibility for the jobholder is the resolution of accounts-based queries from both internal and external stakeholders.

  • The department handles a large volume of both phone and email queries relating to financial elements of claims. These will include but are not limited to:

  • Payment enquiries

  • Policy queries

  • Remittance requests

  • Invoice submission processes

  • To ensure that the systems of internal control relating to all aspects of the teams’ work are robust and operating effectively. 

  • Completion of system driven tasks on a regular basis, and carried out in a timely fashion, for example invoice validation.

  • Performance of supplier statement reconciliations, along with clear and concise updates on any discrepancies on these or delayed payments.

  • Assistance in processing invoices manually where automated options are unavailable.

  • Accomplishment of reports for the team leader to chase for incomplete data or assist in ensuring repairers have invoiced for completed work in a timely fashion.

  • Ensure that robust financial solutions are followed to optimise profit and minimise associated risk. This includes maintaining accurate audit logs for both internal and external parties.

  • To liaise with other departments to discuss issues, revise processes, etc. as, and when required.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • To assist with any internal or external audit requirements. 


The Person:

To be considered for the role, you don’t have to have any experience in finance but have a desire to work within a finance team. It’s essential you can display excellent communication skills both written and verbal and will be expected to be comfortable answering calls on a regular basis and whilst in the middle of other tasks. 
 

You must have a keen desire to resolve problems and provide high quality customer service to many stakeholders.
