We are seeking a skilled and motivated Management Accountant to join our team due to the retirement of a long-standing colleague. The Management Accountant will be reporting directly to the managing director.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual looking to contribute to the success of a progressive and growing business. We offer a competitive salary, attractive working hours, and generous holiday entitlement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring financial controls and systems development

  • Produce monthly management accounts and financial reports for senior management.

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including VAT and corporation tax returns.

  • Manage inter-company recharges and accounting for imports of raw materials.

  • Oversee weekly and monthly payroll, pension contributions, and P11D submissions.

  • Work closely with auditors and support the annual audit processes.

  • Prepare cost rates and provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.

  • Receive support from an experienced Accounts Assistant.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Proven experience in a senior accounting or finance role.

  • Experience reporting directly to directors.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Sage financial software and MS Excel.

  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.

  • Relevant accounting qualifications are advantageous, but not essential. Qualified by experience or part-qualified individuals will also be considered.

  • A desire to work as part of a growing team within a growing organisation.
