• Preparing and reviewing financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Completing and reviewing corporate and personal tax returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
• Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, offering proactive business and financial advice
• Reviewing work completed by junior accountants and trainees, providing mentoring and support
• Assisting in the management of client portfolios, ensuring deadlines are met and work is delivered to a high standard
• Supporting audit engagements, liaising with clients, and helping to identify areas for improvement
• Keeping up to date with changes in tax laws, accounting regulations, and industry best practices

• ACA/ACCA qualified or nearly qualified
• Significant experience working in an accountancy practice
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting and tax compliance
• Excellent client management and communication skills, with a commercial mindset
• Ability to review work, train, and mentor junior team members
• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
• A proactive approach, able to work independently and manage multiple deadlines

• £38,000 to £48,000 per annum
