Search Recruitment is pleased to be assisting in the recruitment of a Purchase Ledger Clerk for a full-time, permanent role based in Hull. Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused individual to join their finance team. As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process. Your main duties will include processing supplier invoices, ensuring that they are accurately recorded and matched to purchase orders, and preparing payments for approval. You will also be responsible for reconciling supplier statements, resolving any discrepancies, and maintaining accurate financial records. In addition, you will assist with month-end procedures, supporting the preparation of management accounts, and liaising with suppliers to ensure smooth transactions and timely payments.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and a solid understanding of purchase ledger procedures. Experience in using accounting software, such as Sage or similar systems, is essential, as is proficiency in Microsoft Excel. The ideal candidate will also be able to manage their time effectively, work to deadlines, and communicate confidently with both internal teams and external suppliers.
