Caretaker

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an experienced Caretaker to join various Secondary Schools across Hull. Demand for flexible caretakers has increased over the last couple of years to cover sickness. The key responsibilities of the role, are the following:

• Provide general maintenance, cleaning, and security services for the school.
• Ensure the safety and security of the premises, students, and staff.
• Perform routine checks and inspections of the site, promptly reporting any issues.
• Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
• Oversee and maintain an accurate log of all checks and activities using the Trust's electronic reporting system.
• Assist with setting up and clearing away equipment for school events and activities.
• Cooperate and coordinate with other staff members to ensure a well-maintained and safe environment.
• Uphold the school's policies and procedures regarding health and safety.

To apply for this role, you must have the following:

• Previous experience in a school site supervisor or caretaker role is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules and respond to emergency situations if required.
• An enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance is mandatory for this position.
• Two professional references will be required.
