Barrass Whiting LLP is a specialist employment law practice.  Since the partners set up the firm just over 2 years ago, it has grown in size, gained recognition in the industry and developed its already impressive client base.

We are now looking for an experienced part-time Practice Manager/ Business Adviser to help us in the next phase of our growth.  This is an important role, advising the partners and executing strategic decisions, and overseeing the day to day running of the Practice.

Responsibilities but not limited to:-

  • Reviewing, recommending and implementing improvements to processes, systems and contracts, and negotiating with suppliers.
  • Risk/ Compliance - overseeing compliance with SRA standards and regulations, general business risk management and business continuity planning.
  • Providing pro-active advice and direction to a fast-growing business.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a legal practice or other professional services firm and/or be a confident and experienced business adviser with the ability to adapt to a legal environment.

The role will be flexible as to hours – we envisage an average of 2 to 3 days per week, variable depending on ongoing projects.

We’re based in East Yorkshire but would very happily consider candidates from further afield because of the flexible working arrangements we can offer.
