THE ROLE:
The main purpose of the role is to take responsibility for ensuring accurate reporting of the physical and derivative commodity transactions, risk exposure and the day-to-day running of its treasury function, although involvement in the treasury aspect is minimal. You will work closely with the commercial teams, preparing daily risk reports, run mark to market month end reports, prepare hedging journals and support the finance teams with month end process
Treasury: Take responsibility to ensure that all treasury activities, including cash flow management and forecasting, are performed in a timely and effective manner in accordance with the group's treasury management policies
Take ownership of the company's risk register and support the senior management with risk management policies

THE CANDIDATE:
You will be a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) experienced accountant looking for your next move into a company where the culture is friendly, the offices contemporary and airy and be part of an established, talented finance team.
Ideally you will already have worked in an environment where you will have been exposed to international trading, be that in manufacturing, distribution or the service sector. Alternatively, depending on background and experience, you may see this as an opportunity to use your transferable skills into a niche role to broaden your experience further.
A high standard of systems literacy is essential as is the ability to communicate effectively right across a business both verbally and written.
