This is a rare opportunity to make a significant impact on an interim basis in a fast-paced organisation, working closely with senior leadership to shape its financial future and achieve ambitious growth objectives.
The Role:
As Interim Finance Director, you will play a central role in driving the financial strategy, ensuring the implementation of a new Finance ERP system, robust processes and financial rigour.
Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will:
- Collaborate with senior leaders to deliver long-term financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting
- Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to the board to support high-level strategic decisions
- Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering growth and driving efficiency
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, enhancing efficiency across financial operations
- Lead financial planning for key projects, such as expansions, major working capital investments and the role out of a New ERP system.
- Ongoing development and preparation of the strategic plan, budget and forecasts
- Preparation of all monthly financial and management accounts, including the reporting of all costings, analyses and explanation of financial performance
- Ensuring appropriate financial and management controls are in place, communicated and effective
Background:
- You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with substantial experience working within private equity-backed businesses
- A proven track record of success in an SME environment is essential
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments.
- Experience driving process improvements and delivering results in a dynamic environment.
