HR Manager opportunity available working for a leading organisation based in the Hull area, East Yorkshire. In this role you will be working closely with the Director to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives. You will work closely with the management team to manage all HR activities. The role will be broad in scope and range from strategic initiatives to hands on day-to-day administrative HR activities. To be successful in this role, you must understand local needs as well as business priorities and translate them into high impact work. You will need to have a flexible skill set, the ability to think strategically, execute tactically, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations.

Experience and Skills required for the role:

  • Extensive experience from operational and strategic HR roles
  • Experience from working with employer responsibilities and related legislation and agreements in UK
  • Strong business understanding and ability to provide data-driven advice to leaders
  • Self-driven, assertive and solution oriented
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work efficiently with others to deliver HR tangible solutions to the management team
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Generalist HR functions including dealing with employee relation issues, employee handbook, staff inductions and onboarding
  • Develop effective recruitment and retention strategies
  • Training and Development including develop apprenticeship programmes
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law
  • Employee engagement
  • Other ad hoc HR duties and responsibilities
