Join our team as an IT Infrastructure and Security Manager to design, deliver, and support our core technologies. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to shape our future by investing in secure, reliable, stable, and scalable technologies. You will lead our internal Infrastructure and Operations team, driving innovation and excellence in technology and information security.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Maintain, develop, optimise, monitor, and secure the Group IT infrastructure for both on-premises and cloud resources, ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and accreditation bodies.
  • Lead the Infrastructure team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities. Promote a positive, proactive attitude to support business growth and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Foster a customer-focused and service excellence ethic across the team, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Ensure all infrastructure documentation is maintained and fit for purpose.
  • Manage helpdesk activities requiring infrastructure resource expertise to fulfil SLA obligations and ensure high standards of service delivery.
  • Oversee all infrastructure projects, including budget management, and provide management reports to enhance visibility of activities across the function.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends, develop the infrastructure roadmap, and manage the change process to modernise the technology landscape, mitigate risks, and deliver projects efficiently.
  • Manage and develop the protection of digital assets, including security, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery processes, aligning solutions with business objectives.
  • Maintain all infrastructure assets and manage relationships with vendors and external service providers to secure infrastructure products and services.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and security operations, with strong organisational and team leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex architecture and solutions in both technical and user-friendly terms.
  • Extensive technical knowledge across Networking, Cloud and Hosting Technologies, Domain Services, Server operating systems, Storage, Virtualisation, Database Technologies, Endpoint Protection, and the 365 stack.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of Cyber Security, including technologies, principles, processes, and compliance - including Pen Testing.
  • Strong knowledge of backup and recovery technologies and vendor licensing models.
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning and simulation.
  • Knowledge of Data Privacy Laws.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Relevant professional accreditations (e.g., Microsoft, VMware).
  • Experience with Cloud VoIP Solutions, ERP solutions, and Cloud-Based Mail Archiving.
  • Cybersecurity qualifications and ITIL Certification.
  • Current driving license.
