Your new roleAre you an experienced Fleet Manager ready to take on a pivotal role in a fast-expanding logistics organisation? Based in Hull, I am working with a dynamic logistics company who are driving growth through new business opportunities, and are looking to strengthen the team with a skilled professional to oversee our fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain a diverse fleet of vehicles to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate vehicle procurement, maintenance schedules, and repairs to minimise downtime.
  • Monitor fuel usage, costs, and driver performance to improve efficiency and reduce operational expenses.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to support new business contracts and ensure seamless logistics delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, including tachograph and DVSA compliance.
  • Analyse fleet data to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or similar role within logistics/transportation.
  • Strong knowledge of fleet management systems, vehicle maintenance, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to manage budgets and negotiate with suppliers effectively.
  • A CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) in Road Haulage is highly desirable.
  • A team player with great communication skills and a focus on driving results.
