We are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Planner to join our clients Hull site on a full-time, permanent basis. About the company:

The organisation are a leader in the pharmaceutical manufacturing field, holding both a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Licence and Medical Devices Certification. They supply an extensive range of medicinal products and medical devices, and pride themselves on a commitment to excellence.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the client meet their annual production goals. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the Planning Process: Own and lead the planning process, enforcing rigour in execution.
  • Demand and Material Planning: Deliver robust demand and material planning to support their ambitious annual plan.
  • Supply Chain Management: Proactively manage supply chain risks and develop action plans to mitigate potential issues.
  • Sales Analysis: Monitor and analyse sales history while reporting forecast changes.
  • Collaboration: Lead monthly planning reviews with the wider teams and establish regular performance reviews with suppliers and customers.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement processes for measurement, analysis, and continuous improvement proposals to enhance supplier conditions and improve cash flow.
  • Communication: Drive clear communication around planning and dependent processes.
  • SAP MRP Implementation: Responsible for implementing SAP to support ongoing activities and business development.
  • Project Support: Assist in project activities related to functional developments and new product introductions.
  • Capacity Review: Prepare RCCP to ensure continuous capacity review and propose solutions to avoid limitations.

What we're looking for:

  • Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail with the ability to maintain an overarching perspective.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Excellent Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities to manage large datasets from various sources.
  • Organisational Skills: Exceptional project management and time management skills, adept at prioritising and meeting deadlines.
  • Planning Experience: Relevant experience in planning, production scheduling, or supplier management.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities to engage with various organisational levels.
  • Educational Background: A degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.

Desirable qualifications:

While not mandatory, the following qualifications would be advantageous:

  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practise in a manufacturing environment.
  • A strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations.
