- Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations to ensure output, quality, and delivery targets are consistently met.
- Manage and optimise cell-based assembly processes in a complex, engineered-to-order environment.
- Ensure alignment between operational activity and wider business objectives, acting as the operational anchor in cross-functional teams.
- Support NPI projects, ensuring new products are industrialised effectively without disrupting operational flow.
- Identify and act upon opportunities for Continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance within the team.
- Mentor and support the development of your direct and indirect reports.
- Monitor KPIs and drive visibility across performance metrics to support data-led decision-making.
- Engage with technical experts to adopt and integrate new manufacturing technologies and techniques as appropriate.
- A degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- Strong background in managing varied operations ideally within complex processes, assembly, high-mix/low-volume, or precision manufacturing environments, e.g. automotive, aerospace, medical devices, capital equipment etc.
- Proven leadership in delivering results through people, process, and performance management.
- Strong planning skills
- Experience with NPI or introducing engineering changes into live production.
- Familiarity with lean and CI approaches, ideally with hands-on implementation experience.
- Analytical thinker with a practical mindset, able to balance short-term delivery with long-term improvement.
