Site Technical Manager
Days (Office hours)
Salary - 60-65,000 (DOE)

Our trusted clients are looking for an Experienced Technical Manager to come and join our existing management team at our BRC A accredited facility in Hull. Experience in the food industry would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be working closely with their General Manager and HR Manager to ensure all standards are met.

The ideal candidate will have:

Technical Management experience;
Experience of working in a Technical capacity within the food industry;
A food-based degree or equivalent relevant training and experience;
A strong focus on results and strong people management skills;
Excellent organisational skills with ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines;
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.

Job summary

To ensure that HACCP plan, Quality Manual and SOPs for the site meet all legal requirements, fully reflect the processes and are reviewed and validated, as necessary by continuing to develop the Company quality management system and HACCP.
Ensure compliance to relevant standards for FSS, BRC Global Standard for Food Safety and QMS.
Liaise and co-operate with the General Manager and Supervisors to ensure that the standards comply with the specifications and legislation standards;
Be the main contact for external audits. Liaise with customer/third party auditors, ensure all documentation is available, and implement any agreed corrective actions;
Recommending and implementing processing improvements to the factory in order to improve product safety, quality and efficiency.
