Join a leading player in the food production industry, as they seek a skilled and proactive Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring that their Hull site operates to the highest regulatory standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • EHS Management: Oversee all Environmental, Health, and Safety activities on-site, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
  • Safety Culture Leadership: Lead initiatives to cultivate a strong safety and health culture within the plant, promoting best practices and safe working conditions across all teams.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Act as the primary liaison with government agencies on EHS matters, ensuring all necessary permits, reports, and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive the continuous improvement of safety and environmental programs, including the Behaviour Based Safety Program, and contribute to the development of the site’s five-year strategic plan.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present EHS data for weekly meetings, and ensure timely communication of group health, safety, and environmental reporting.
Requirements
  • Experience: A strong background in  Environmental Health and Safety within a manufacturing environment in the food or chemical processing industry.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH is essential.
  • Education: Minimum HNC or equivalent qualification.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
