GSL Education are excited to offer an Early Years Practitioner opportunity at a nurturing nursery in Hull. 

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a key role in creating a stimulating and fun learning environment for children aged 3 to 5. Your responsibilities will include assisting in delivering interactive, hands-on lessons that encourage the development of key skills and social growth. You’ll work alongside a supportive team, ensuring the well-being and development of all children under your care.

Responsibilities of the Early Years Practitioner:

  • Assist in delivering creative and engaging lessons for children aged 3-5 years.
  • Promote social, emotional, and cognitive development in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Support children with individual learning needs to help them thrive.
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Contribute to planning activities that stimulate curiosity and learning.
  • Support the nursery in maintaining high standards of care and safety.

Requirements of the Early Years Practitioner:

  • Level 2 childcare qualification or equivalent is required.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Creative and engaging approach to teaching and learning.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience working in an early year’s setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
