GSL Education are thrilled to offer a Year 1 Teacher position at a vibrant and dynamic school in Hull. This exciting opportunity is for a teacher who is passionate about creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children. 

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will take the lead in providing a stimulating and supportive learning experience for children, helping them develop key skills while fostering their love for learning. You will plan, deliver, and assess KS1 curriculum lessons, using your creativity and enthusiasm to bring lessons to life and ensure that all students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities of the Year 1 Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive KS1 lessons that cater to the needs of all learners.
  • Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support the development of students' academic, social, and emotional skills.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and next steps.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and parents to support student development.
  • Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements of the Year 1 Teacher:

  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and experience teaching Year 1.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Ability to plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a passion for working with young children.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills.
  • A commitment to professional development and a desire to further your teaching career.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
