A leading food manufacturing company near Hull is seeking an experienced and motivated Technical Services Manager to join their team. The company is renowned for its high-quality products and innovative approach to food production, serving a wide range of customers within the food industry. This is a key leadership role within the technical team, offering the opportunity to drive continuous improvement in product quality, operational efficiency, and technical compliance. The successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting the businesss growth and ensuring the delivery of top-quality products that meet both customer and regulatory standards.
The Role
As Technical Services Manager, you will:
- Leadand managethe technical services team, ensuring the effective support of production, quality assurance, and R&D teams.
- Overseethe technical processes across production, ensuring all systems, processes, and products comply with relevant food safety standards and certifications such as BRC, HACCP, and ISO.
- Developand implementtechnical procedures and policies to improve operational efficiency and product quality.
- Collaboratewith key stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, to resolve technical issues and improve product specifications.
- Leadtechnical investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for any product quality issues or customer complaints.
- Supportthe NPD (New Product Development) process by providing technical expertise in the development of new products and improvements to existing lines.
- Ensurethat all technical documentation, including specifications, certifications, and records, are maintained and up to date.
- Monitorand analysekey technical performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure that quality and operational standards are being met, reporting results to senior management.
- Keepabreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to ensure the business remains compliant and competitive.
