- Procure and manage sub-contract packages across various construction projects.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings and value for money.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships, ensuring high performance and quality.
- Work closely with project managers, estimators, and site teams to align procurement strategies with project needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal standards.
- Monitor and assess supplier performance, addressing any issues proactively.
- Assist in cost forecasting and budget management for subcontractor costs.
- Previous experience in a Sub-Contract Buyer or Procurement role within construction.
- Strong negotiation and commercial awareness in dealing with subcontractors.
- Knowledge of construction contracts (JCT, NEC) and procurement best practices.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications to assess subcontractor requirements.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office.
