We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our client within a prison setting. You will provide high-volume, low-intensity interventions using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) self-management techniques to support clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression. This includes delivering guided self-help in both one-on-one and group formats.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Adhering to Prison Service policies, contributing to risk management and public safety.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and manage all data in accordance with Data Management and Information Governance policies.
  • Following all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • Promoting engagement with Rethink Mental Illness as a member, donor, or activist.
  • Maintaining professional boundaries and notifying your line manager of any concerns related to safeguarding or health and safety.
  • Regularly attending clinical and managerial supervision as agreed with your manager.
  • Engaging in personal development and continuing professional development (CPD) with senior therapists.
  • Staying informed on guidelines from regulatory bodies and the Department of Health.
  • Complying with charity policies and external regulations.

Requirements:

  • Accredited as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner with either the BPS or BABCP.
  • High standards in written and verbal communication.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
