We are seeking a Forklift Driver & Production Operative to join our successful and expanding Manufacturing and Engineering company. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on and enjoys a dynamic work environment. The position involves a variety of tasks including pick and packing, stock control, and quality checking, making it perfect for individuals who thrive in versatile roles.
Day-to-day of the role:- Handling goods in and out, ensuring efficient processing and storage.
- Operating forklifts, specifically Counterbalance, to manage materials and products.
- Managing delivery notes and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Examining drawings and dimensions to ensure specifications are met.
- Conducting stock control to maintain inventory levels and ensure availability of materials.
- Performing quality checks on products to ensure high standards are met.
- Conducting damage checks to prevent and address any issues.
- Operating and working with various machinery in a production setting.
- Assisting in other departments as needed to support overall operations.
- Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Forklift experience, specifically Counterbalance, is required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with technical drawings and dimensions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Flexible and adaptable, willing to assist in various tasks as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining high quality standards and safety protocols.
