??We have an exciting new opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our team on a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.

As a Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the preparation of the group's consolidated annual and interim accounts. You will utilise your expertise in financial accounting to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of these accounts. This position requires close collaboration with both internal and external auditors to meet reporting deadlines and uphold the integrity of the financial statements. Additionally, you will contribute to maintaining a strong financial controls framework, ensuring compliance and accuracy throughout the reporting process.?

What you'll be doing:

??- Maintaining and issuing to the divisions, the Excel based year-end and half year consolidation pack, together with instructions

- Consolidating (using Tagetik) the completed consolidation packs at year end and half year

- Reconciling inter-company balances at year-end and half year end by identifying differences and liaising with divisions to resolve

- Preparing proofs and reconciliations to support the group consolidation

- Ensure alignment of management and statutory accounts by passing down year-end and half year adjustments (tax, audit, provisions etc) to the management accounts and reconciling the opening balances in the management accounts to the pack submissions

- Perform central finance balance sheet accounts reconciliations in accordance within the timetable set.

- Coordinate monthly review of balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the Payments and Reconciliation Team and FP&A Team.

- Assist the Senior Financial Accountant on a range of ad hoc issues.

What does it take to be successful?

??- Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar

- Experience working with companies with revenue over £500m

- Effective written and verbal communication skills.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Ability to work independently.

- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage workload and projects to deadlines.?
