Job Title - Financial Controller
Salary - up to £85k
Location - Huntingdon on a Hybrid basis
The Role:
Our client, a leading international company, is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee their financial operations in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional to lead accounting teams and ensure financial compliance across key countries.
As the Financial Controller, you will:
- Manage day-to-day accounting and financial processing
- Lead statutory and tax compliance for key EMEA countries
- Ensure data accuracy and maintain robust financial controls
- Provide leadership and development for your team
- Collaborate with other finance managers and occasionally stand in for the Finance Director
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting for European entities, with a focus on the UK and France
- Manage treasury operations, including bank reporting and payment approvals
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders and support operational managers
- Review and update finance procedures to minimize business risk
- Collaborate on credit control processes and manage aged debtors
- Handle tax reporting for the UK and France
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
- Coordinate statutory reporting and audits for UK and France
- Contribute to EMEA cash flow forecasting
What the Client's looking for:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification with several years of post-qualification experience
- Proven experience in managing finance teams
- Experience working with external auditors and third parties
- UK tax reporting and compliance expertise
- Experience with US GAAP and local GAAP reporting across Europe
- Familiarity working with global remote teams
- International Tax reporting experience for other
