Job Title - Financial Controller

Salary - up to £85k

Location - Huntingdon on a Hybrid basis

The Role:

Our client, a leading international company, is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee their financial operations in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional to lead accounting teams and ensure financial compliance across key countries.

As the Financial Controller, you will:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting and financial processing
  • Lead statutory and tax compliance for key EMEA countries
  • Ensure data accuracy and maintain robust financial controls
  • Provide leadership and development for your team
  • Collaborate with other finance managers and occasionally stand in for the Finance Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting for European entities, with a focus on the UK and France
  • Manage treasury operations, including bank reporting and payment approvals
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and support operational managers
  • Review and update finance procedures to minimize business risk
  • Collaborate on credit control processes and manage aged debtors
  • Handle tax reporting for the UK and France
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
  • Coordinate statutory reporting and audits for UK and France
  • Contribute to EMEA cash flow forecasting

What the Client's looking for:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification with several years of post-qualification experience
  • Proven experience in managing finance teams
  • Experience working with external auditors and third parties
  • UK tax reporting and compliance expertise
  • Experience with US GAAP and local GAAP reporting across Europe
  • Familiarity working with global remote teams
  • International Tax reporting experience for other
