Sonic Summary

We are seeking an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to chair statutory Child in Care Reviews and monitor children's care plans.
The role involves identifying delays in permanence for children and escalating issues as per the Council's Escalation Policy.
Candidates must have eligibility to work in the UK and experience in a relevant social work position.
The salary for this position is competitive, and the role requires significant travel, with 50% of children residing outside the Local Authority.

We are looking for an experienced IRO to carry out hte following duties:

Chairing statutory Child in Care Reviews in person
Ongoing monitoring of progress of childrens care plans / pathway plans
Identifying areas of drift and delay in permanence for children, and escalating as per the Council's Escalation Policy
Visiting children outside of Reviews
Travel to children at their care placements, 50% of whom reside outside of the Local Authority
