Ackerman Pierce work closely with County Councils and Schools to provide one to one tutoring for children waiting for school placements. The children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs and so we are seeking experienced SEN /HLTA's/tutors/teachers.
We are currently recruiting for Specialist Outreach educators and support staff to provide face to face provision to students who need access to Alternative provision, this could be due to SEND/SEMH so experience in this is required. The role is to start ASAP.
- Location - Huntingdon
- Position - Outreach teaching assistant, supporting a tutor
- Start date - ASAP
- End date (if applicable) - ongoing
- Contract type - Temporary
- 15 hours per week
- Rate of pay £18 - £23 per hour
- Hours - Tuition takes place between 11:30am and 2:30pm Monday to Friday
We are looking for candidates who are:-
- Available during school hours up to 15 hours per week.
- Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects.
- Experience teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD
- Exceptional behaviour management strategies.
- Prepared to work face to face within the community.
Requirements
- Background working in Education, ideally supporting as a TA/LSA/HLTA
- Experience working with ASD/EBD/SEMH and associated complex needs.
- Two years previous experience working within a UK school/education setting.
