Sonic Summary

Ackerman Pierce is recruiting Specialist Outreach educators to provide one-on-one tutoring for children with complex needs in Sawtry, Huntingdon.
Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience working in a UK school and preferably possess QTS status or equivalent qualifications.
The role involves supporting a tutor and requires experience in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects, particularly to students with SEN/SEMH.
The position is temporary, offering 15 hours of work per week at a pay rate of £18 to £23 per hour, with tuition taking place between 9 am and 12 pm, Monday to Friday.

Ackerman Pierce work closely with County Councils and Schools to provide one to one tutoring for children waiting for school placements. The children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs and so we are seeking experienced SEN /HLTA's/tutors/teachers.

We are currently recruiting for Specialist Outreach educators to provide face to face provision to students who need access to Alternative provision, this could be due to SEN/SEMH so experience in this is required. The role is to start ASAP.

Hours - Tuition takes place between 9am and 12pm Monday to Friday

We are looking for candidates who are:-

Available during school hours up to 30 hours per week.
Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects.
Experience teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD
Exceptional behaviour management strategies.
Prepared to work face to face within the community.

Requirements

Background teaching in English, Maths, Science or SEN classes ranging from KS1-KS5.
QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years' experience teaching NC core subjects
Experience working with ASD/EBD/SEMH and associated complex needs.
2 years previous experience working within a UK school.
