Great opportunity to work as a Line Leader for our clients leading fruit and vegetable production site based in Alconbury
This is a modern site with brand-new facilities, clean changing rooms, and plenty of opportunities for progression.
This is a full-time role; fixed day shift, on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
The hours of work are:
7am to 7:30 pm
The rates of pay are:
Week 1 (General operative - Pre-training): £11.44 per hour
From Week 2 onwards: £12.45 per hour
Overtime is available after working 48 hours and is paid at:
£15.56 per hour
Your Time at Work
For the first week you will work as a general operative to get a feel for the business. After 1 week is completed you will go through line leader training with the on site team.
As a Line Leader, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing Production and Machine Operatives on the Citrus or Grape lines.
- Promoting best practices, ensuring safety procedures are followed, and working with Quality Control to maintain product freshness.
- Making decisions in a fast-paced environment, monitoring KPIs, and suggesting ways to improve efficiency.
- Creating a safe and supportive working environment, upholding the company culture, and motivating your team to succeed.
- Completing daily reports, reporting any breakdowns, and liaising with your Line Manager regarding any issues on the line.

- Previous supervisory or team management experience
- Experience in fresh produce or food production environments
- Strong communication, organisational, and people skills.
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Experience in adapting to different situations and making quick decisions to solve problems.
- A commitment to excellence, with the ability to motivate and encourage your team to work well together.
- An understanding of the production lifecycle, or a willingness to learn.
Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
