Shift Supervisor - Manufacturing

In this hands-on role, you'll oversee daily production activities, manage resources, and ensure smooth, efficient operations while maintaining a safe work environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Take charge of daily production: Create and execute the daily schedule, manage resources, and ensure everything runs smoothly with full autonomy.
  • Lead and motivate your team: Inspire your team to perform at their best, while also knowing when to step in and provide direction or escalate issues when needed.
  • Develop your team: Provide the training, support, and resources your team needs to meet production goals and maximise their potential.
  • Solve problems on the floor: You'll be hands-on in troubleshooting issues, but always with the confidence to escalate when the situation demands it to keep production running efficiently.
  • Monitor performance: Track KPIs and lead action plans to resolve deviations, driving continuous improvement in both efficiency and quality.
  • Ensure safety: Lead by example in maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant workspace.

What You Bring:

  • A proven leader who can make autonomous decisions and manage complex production activities independently, while also knowing when to escalate issues to senior management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of the team and keep everyone aligned.
  • Experience in staff development and ensuring team capabilities match production needs.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing planning and a keen eye for detail.
  • Previous experience with processes like electro-mechanical assembly would be a plus.
