Public Health Consultant- Population Health/Public Health Intelligence

Start: ASAP

Rate: £900 per day Umbrella Inside IR35

Summary:

Our client is looking for a Consultant in Public Health (Population Health) who will have a key role in maximising innovative ways to improve population health through population health intelligence and population health management. This will involve leading the Public Health Intelligence Team and further developing the existing system analytic approaches to population health.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide public health leadership and work closely with health, local authority and wider partners to develop and embed system population health and population health management approaches that improve health and wellbeing and reduce inequalities in the area
  • Taking responsibility for the delivery of impactful statutory Joint Strategic Needs Assessments that influence actions of partners across the Health and Wellbeing Board and Integrated Care Partnership and enable the delivery of the Joint Health and Wellbeing Integrated Care Strategy
  • Ensure development and maintenance of systems and processes to enable the organisation to work with partners to respond to major incidents including health protection threats
  • Lead work across all directorates in the organisation as well as influencing partnership boards (dealing with health determinants) to maximise health improvement opportunities and the reduction of inequalities in health outcomes amongst residents, both currently and for future generations

Requirements:

  • Meet the Professional Development (CPD), in accordance with FPH requirements, or other recognised body
  • Must be on the on the General Medical Council (GMC) / General Dental Council (GDC) or the UK Public Health (Specialist) Register or other specialist register as a Specialist Register with a license to practice
