Job Description: HR Advisor

Position Summary:

As HR Advisor you will play a pivotal role in fostering supportive relationships with a number of clients operating in the education sector. By providing a comprehensive generalist HR resource you will become the main, and in some cases, the sole HR contact for these clients.

Daily Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing advice to management on employee relations and management issues; advising and supporting managers with grievances, disciplinary actions, absence management and performance management cases on site
  • Composing and/or reviewing all relevant notes and letters and forwarding as needed
  • To coach managers with HR procedures and challenge any non-compliance
  • Actively monitor and work with relevant senior leaders, to manage all employee cases - instigating formal proceedings where necessary
  • Building and maintaining strong productive relationships with site managers and attend appropriate onsite meetings as required
  • Update and advise on employment legislation.
  • Assist with the design and delivery in particular HR areas, such as performance reviews and management, discipline and grievance management
  • Provide full support to the site management team across all company HR policies & processes to enable the delivery of the entire employee lifecycle

We're looking for the following skills/experience:

  • Previous HR experience gained at Advisor level
  • CIPD qualified (level 3+)
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation
  • Comprehensive understanding of the entire employee lifecycle
  • Able to support change, consult and build relationships at all levels
  • Experience in a similar role ideally gained within an educational setting or similar
  • Ability to adapt and tailor support for numerous clients
