Waddington Brown are supporting a client with a key senior appointment into their team. This Global technology organisation, that has their headquarters in Washington, is seeking a qualified and pragmatic HR professional to be based on site in Huntingdon with regular travel to Germany. This individual will oversee all HR activity and work with the relevant Centres of Excellence to resolve any HR issues.

Responsibilities of the HR Operations Partner include

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for regional employees and managers, delivering integrated support to enhance the employee experience.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of local and regional markets, regulations, as well as Centres of Excellences priorities and offerings.
  • Provide valuable feedback and insights to Centres of Excellence and Talent Acquisition regarding regional HR needs, gaps, and challenges.
  • Collaborate with local leadership to address emerging HR needs, generating innovative ideas, solutions, and process improvements.
  • Coach managers and leaders on workplace issues, including delivering and documenting feedback, performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
  • Develop and deliver manager training in collaboration with the Global HR team, based on feedback and needs assessment.

Skills for the HR Operations Partner role include:

  • Extensive knowledge of UK and European employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience in HR operations, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coach and advise managers at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using HR systems such as Workday, ServiceNow, IBM, or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct compensation analysis and respond to complex HR queries.
  • Ability to travel as required within the region.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar HR role within a large, matrixed organisation.
  • Experience gained within military / defence organisations would be an advantage.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience partnering with Centres of Excellence and integrating HR functions.
