Local business in Huntingdon looking for a Warehouse Shipping Operative to join their team.

Prepare tooling, equipment, and materials for shipment. Complete all required documentation. Inspect and ensure that both incoming and outgoing shipments maintain quality of both the product and packaging.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Prepare tooling, equipment, and materials for shipment according to shipping order.* Generate sales order pick lists and packing slips.* If applicable, prepare documentation for shipments to include: certificates of origin, certificates of compliance, certificates of conformance, manufacturer certificates, commercial invoices, shipper's declaration of dangerous goods, bills of lading, complying with IATA regulations, etc.* Prepare customs documentation; prepare and electronically submit shipper's export declaration, as necessary.* Ensure that orders are correctly coded with appropriate shipping status and tracking numbers.* Examine outgoing shipments to ensure that shipments meet the requirements of shipping order and have been properly protected against damage.* Call and dispatch freight carriers when shipments are ready for pick-up.* Provide freight quotations and package tracking information for Customer Service/Inside Sales.* Perform final quality control inspection prior to shipping.* Maintain and control inventory of shipping materials and supplies and perform enquiries on inventory cycle counts.* Receive products, materials, and supplies; perform receiving inspections, verify shipping contents with packing slip, and process paperwork.* Process tooling, equipment, and materials for staging future shipments.

Required Skills* High School diploma and one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires knowledge of international shipping regulations. * Ability to use personal computers and word processing programs and ability to type. * Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write instructions. Ability to effectively relay information one-on-one to delivery drivers, freight forwarding companies, employees, and management.* Ability to apply concepts of arithmetic and algebra to convert feet to square feet and cubic feet and pounds to kilograms.* The employee must regularly twist or turn while holding 25 pounds and lift and move 45 pounds.

Drug-free working environment. Some elements may be present which make conditions less desirable than usually found in an office setting. Employee may experience exposure to elements such as odor, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals.

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 4.30pm, 8am - 1.30 on a Friday
