A Materials Management opportunity working for this global organisation based outside Cambridge. This role is available on a hybrid working basis and offers opportunities for long-term growth and career development. With responsibility for an established cross-functional team across Purchasing, Shipping, Warehousing and Distribution, this role will play a key part in the ongoing development of the Supply Chain and embedding process improvements. Key areas of focus will be to develop and manage a cross-functional team ensuring succession planning is in place; work closely with the planning team to mitigate risk across the supply chain; drive a culture of collaboration and partnership across the function; ensure inventory levels are optimised; oversee all operational activities relating to distribution, shipping and warehousing; ensure key activities and metrics across Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning are delivered; and ensure all associated costs are controlled and supply agreements are fit for purpose.

To succeed in this role, demonstrable supply chain experience from an engineering, manufacturing, aerospace or automotive background is required with a proven ability to operate successfully in a matrix organisation. With expertise in driving a culture and programmes of continuous improvement, you will have highly developed planning and organising skills. With exceptional communication skills, you will be adept at securing engagement and buy-in with a highly self-motivated approach to work essential.
