A Procurement Management opportunity working for this global manufacturing business in Cambridgeshire. Working as part of a global procurement team with high levels of buy-in and profile, this role will take ownership of a range of Indirect spend including Capex and MRO. With high levels of autonomy and profile, there are significant opportunities for growth and career development.Key areas of focus include: managing end to end procurement activity across EMEA for the designated categories of spend; build strong partnerships with suppliers and drive innovation and added value; take ownership of complex high-value negotiations; drive stakeholder engagement and collaboration on a cross-functional and multi-site basis; ensure risk-management strategies are deployed across categories and suppliers; devise and embed procurement strategies across spend categories; and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.To succeed in this role requires a highly organised and self-motivated approach to your work aligned with exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong commercial focus are a pre-requisite. With demonstrable procurement experience, ideally from a manufacturing, aerospace or engineering organisation, preferably with a similar category background, you will be well versed in applying best-practice procurement expertise across a range of spend. With a need to be in the office 3 days per week, this role is viewed as key from a succession planning perspective with an empowering and supportive culture in place.
