St Ives, near Huntingdon 

A local accountancy firm in St Ives is looking for an experience accounts administrator to join them as a Bookkeeper on a part-time basis of 30 hours per week (these hours are flexible to yours and businesses' needs).  The company is a sociable, inviting place which prides itself on excellent service, and in this role you will manage a portfolio of clients.   

Responsibilities of the role will include:  

  • Managing the bookkeeping needs of a portfolio of clients
  • Posting/processing of sales and purchase invoices
  • Bank reconciliations
  • VAT returns
  • Answering ad hoc client queries - dealing with clients via email, phone, face-to-face
  • Working closely with the accounts team to ensure accurate reporting

To be suitable for the role, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:  

  • VAT returns experience is essential  
  • Experience using Xero & Sage ideal but training can be given if required 
  • Great communication skills, and the willingness to speak with clients on the phone, by email and in person when required
