Reed Business Support in Cambridge is working with a local charity who are seeking an individual to join their team in Huntingdon as a Receptionist/Admin, where you will be the first point of contact for their visitors and tenants. This role is perfect for someone who is organised, enjoys interacting with people, and can manage multiple tasks efficiently. You will report directly to the Operations Manager and play a key role in maintaining a welcoming and efficient reception area.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Maintain a tidy reception area, including setup and closing procedures.
  • Greet visitors and tenants, ensuring they sign in and out, adhering to all relevant safety measures.
  • Provide a client-centred approach, offering basic signposting for individuals requiring support.
  • Answer the reception phone, take detailed messages, and pass them as needed to the team/tenants in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all fliers, timetables, service leaflets, and poster displays are available, up to date, and tidy.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all tenants, handling queries effectively.
  • Prepare rooms for use, including setting up refreshments if needed, and clean up after use.
  • Ensure a smooth transition between hirers at the Centre and serve as a point of contact for tenants, addressing their needs related to the Centre.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a receptionist or administrative role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications like MS Office.
  • A friendly and professional demeanour.
