Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our team in secondary schools across the Cambridgeshire area. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for education and a desire to support the learning and development of young people.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide tailored support to students, both individually and in small groups, to enhance their learning experience.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and the classroom environment.
  • Work closely with teachers to monitor student progress and contribute to their educational plans.
  • Encourage positive student behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) to access the curriculum.
  • Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents when necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or support work are ideal but not mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a supportive approach to student learning.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
