We’re looking for a Campsite Manager to join the team here at Waterclose Meadows Campsite at Houghton Mill.
Hours: 37.5 per week. You'll be required to work some weekends and late evenings on a regular basis.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £26,832 per annum
Due to Houghton Mill being in a rural area, please think about how you'd be able to get here for work, before you apply for this job. There is an expectation that you'll, when required, provide cover for other campsites within the area and expenses for travel to these sites will be covered.
Internally you'll be known as a Holidays Operation Manager.
What it's like to work hereReporting to the Holidays Manager, it will be your role to manage and grow the Waterclose Meadows Campsite which consists of 51 pitch's and 4 pods. You'll manage a team of Holiday Assistant Managers and Holiday Operation Assistants.

What you'll be doingYou'll need to be guest focused, ensuring the highest quality of guest satisfaction and safety is achieved, you will want your guests to be delighted with their stay, and to make every stay matter. Your focus will be on giving great service to everyone who chooses to stay on the campsite. You’ll be answering their questions, following agreed procedures, working with the local property team as well as the bookings team to make sure we’re being consistent and maintaining our high standards.
Your day can include everything from managing the site budget, staff rotas and compliance tasks to the more practical grounds maintenance, cleaning and looking after the site infrastructure.
We take great pride in our cleaning standards and you'll be 'hands on' with maintaining these standards.
You’ll manage and lead the team at Waterclose Meadows through training, coaching and development. You'll be responsible for the recruitment of new staff, providing clear induction and training.
You’ll help to respond to incidents and do all that’s needed to keep everyone safe. You'll also tackle unplanned tasks as they arise, to help keep standards high and people happy.

Who we're looking forTo deliver this role successfully, you'll need:
- experience in an operational focused role
- experience in leading and inspiring a team to an agreed set of results, contributing to their understanding and development
- experience understanding and delivering customer needs and delivering a culture of excellent customer service in the hospitality industry
- the ability to deliver results through successful cost control balanced with quality and to deadlines
- experience and skills in managing operational budgets
- experience of developing communications at all levels
