JRS Associates have partnered with a leading engineering company in Sutton-in-Ashfield to recruit a skilled Workshop Production Technician.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high standards of repair, maintenance, and overhaul of essential products, including engines, transmissions, and axles. Join a dynamic and supportive team where precision, quality, and efficiency are valued.

The Package:

  • Salary: £28,000 per annum
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm
  • Benefits: Overtime, Professional development, ongoing training, and potential for growth
  • Collaborative Environment: Work alongside experienced engineers and mentor apprentices

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle disassembly, inspection, cleaning, and reassembly of engines, transmissions, and other components
  • Ensure testing and evaluation of completed units to guarantee product reliability and customer satisfaction
  • Follow ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001) to maintain high quality, environmental, and safety standards
  • Submit accurate documentation and maintain defect-free products and services
  • Collaborate with the Parts team to identify and procure required components
  • Support the daily operations of the workshop and achieve departmental targets
  • Provide suggestions for operational efficiency improvements and promote good housekeeping

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a mechanical and engineering environment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills, particularly with engines and transmissions
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, measurement equipment, and tooling
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid driving license
