Financial Controller

Based: Hyde, Manchester

Package: £60k-£70k + bonus + pension, benefits & opportunity to progress

Our client is a well-established, expanding business who have doubled turnover in the last 3 years. Private equity backed with continued growth plans over the next 2-5 years through organic & M&A activity, this is a fantastic opportunity to work in a number 2 role under a strong CFO gaining wide ranging experience and the chance to see a potential PE exit in that timeframe. We are looking for an ACA qualified Audit trained (top 10 practice) candidate with experience in industry

Role:

  • Monthly management accounts production
  • Providing monthly reporting and analysis to board
  • Journals, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations
  • Working closely with CFO & MD on budgeting, forecasting, financial projects, growth and future change within finance and wider business
  • Business partnering with wider business including sales, marketing, operations to challenge and educate non-finance stakeholders
  • Leading on projects such as pricing reconfigurations/stock & costing processes and more
  • Utilising PowerBI to generate in depth full business reports by department, product areas, customers and utilising reports to drive business decisions with stakeholders
  • Identifying areas of improvement within existing systems and processes, aiming to maximise finance team efficiencies
  • Year end audit and statutory accounts alongside external auditors
  • Managing all 3rd party relationships with HMRC, Audit, Insurance and more

Experience:

  • ACA Qualified, Top 10 practice trained with experience in industry - essential
  • Pro-active and agile approach, always looking to improve/change where possible
  • SME exposure essential
  • Experience in a stock based business highly desirable
  • PowerBI experience highly beneficial. SQL experience beneficial but not essential
