The Education Specialists are working in partnership with a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Tameside, committed to providing exceptional education and support to pupils aged 4-16. We are looking for a passionate, resilient, and inspiring Secondary or Primary Teacher to join our team and make a significant impact on the lives of our young people.

As a Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated lessons in both Maths and English that cater to the diverse needs of our pupils.
  • Create a supportive and nurturing classroom environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies for students with SEMH needs.
  • Monitor and track pupil progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching methods to ensure effective learning.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and carers, promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, and high expectations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching Maths and English, preferably within a specialist or alternative provision setting.
  • A strong understanding of SEMH needs and effective strategies to support students with these challenges.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to teaching.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
