  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external therapists to support each student's Educational Health Care Plan.

  • Provide 1:1 and small group interventions focused on emotional regulation, social skills, and academic engagement.

  • Assist in the delivery of structured, differentiated learning activities to accommodate diverse learning styles.

  • Promote positive mental health strategies and help students develop coping mechanisms for managing stress and anxiety.

  • Supervise students during unstructured times (e.g., break and lunchtimes) to encourage positive peer interactions.

  • Foster a trauma-informed approach, ensuring students feel safe, valued, and supported.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH, SEN, or behavioural difficulties within a specialist, alternative, or PRU setting.

  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to supporting students with high levels of need.

  • A passion for promoting inclusivity, emotional well-being, and engagement in learning.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and child protection, with an enhanced DBS check required.
