Payroll Assistant

Payroll Assistant position within a forward thinking accountancy practice based in Hyde. They are a general practice with over 5 decades worth of experience, developing a number of specialisms. Mostly working with small and medium sized businesses.

You would be reporting to the payroll managing, assisting their day to day duties. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious accountant with strong future aspirations to join a steady practice who can develop and assist their growth.

• Payroll Processing - Assist in the preparation and processing of client payroll
• Data Entry - Enter and update payroll information such as employee details, hours worked, overtime, and deductions into the payroll system
• Compliance - Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
• Employee Queries - Address and resolve payroll-related queries from clients
• Record Maintenance - Maintain accurate payroll records
• Reconciliations - Assist in the reconciliation of payroll accounts
• Year-end processes - Support the year-end payroll processes

• 2-3 years minimum experience in accountancy practice
• Maths and English GCSE's
• AAT or ACCA (studying) preferred
• Able to commute daily to Hyde
• UK citizen and no requirement for visa sponsorship
• Competent in Sage software

• £22,500-25,000 depending on experience
