Here at Careermakers we are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer and Quality Inspector to join our team and ensure the highest levels of product quality. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and performing quality inspections across a variety of manufactured components. You will play a critical role in ensuring that all products meet specified standards and customer requirements by using precision measuring equipment and performing detailed inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • CMM Programming and Operation:

    • Develop, write, and modify programs for CMM to inspect components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
    • Operate the CMM to inspect parts, ensuring dimensional accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
    • Analyse and interpret CMM data, generating detailed reports and communicating findings to relevant teams.
  • Quality Inspection:

    • Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections using CMM as well as other measuring tools such as callipers, micrometres, gauges, and height stands.
    • Inspect components against technical drawings, customer specifications, and industry standards.
    • Ensure all products conform to company quality standards and ISO guidelines.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of measurement data, including non-conformances and corrective actions.
    • Provide feedback and recommendations to production teams on quality improvements.
    • Assist in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities for defective parts.
  • Calibration and Maintenance:

    • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of CMM equipment to ensure precision and reliability.
    • Ensure measuring instruments are properly calibrated and maintain calibration records.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Contribute to the ongoing development of inspection processes and techniques to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Participate in quality control and continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor.
Key Requirements:
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of [Insert Number] years of experience in CMM programming and quality inspection within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in programming and operating CMM machines (e.g., Zeiss, Hexagon, Mitutoyo) using PC-DMIS, CALYPSO, or other relevant software.
