justteachers are seeking a 1:1 SENTA to start at a school in Dukinfield. The full-time post is due to start after the Easter break with shortlisting currently taking place.
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and passionate SENTA to join a vibrant and inclusive school in Dukinfield. As an LSA, you will work closely with students within the English and Arts department, providing tailored support to ensure their academic progress and emotional well-being. Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Offer dedicated 1:1 assistance to a student managing high levels of anxiety, addressing difficulties with participating in lessons, through a patient and consistent approach
- Implement personalised techniques to help ease anxiety, encourage engagement, and support the students involvement in activities, focusing on gradual participation without pressuring them.
- Bring expertise in handling challenging behaviours by providing emotional reassurance and fostering a calm, structured environment that helps the student feel secure while developing coping strategies
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- Relevant qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Proven experience supporting SEMH students
- A good knowledge of Special Educational Needs and EHCPs
- Two education or school-based references
