We are seeking an experienced and passionate English Teacher to become a vital part of a dedicated team committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.

About the English Teacher Role:As an English Teacher, you will be instrumental in shaping the educational experiences of our young learners. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing an outstanding and tailored learning experience that meets the unique needs of each student.
  • Creating a calm, safe, and engaging learning environment that fosters curiosity and a love for English literature and language.
  • Committing to the holistic education of every child, nurturing their emotional well-being alongside their academic growth.
  • Understanding and implementing the school's ethos and policies in your teaching practice.

Curriculum Responsibilities:In this dynamic role, you will adopt a unique and creative approach to teaching, focusing on identifying the interests and learning styles of each pupil. Your duties will include:

  • Planning, preparing, and evaluating customised learning programmes that promote physical, emotional, social, cultural, and moral development.
  • Teaching individual students and small groups, adapting lessons and methodologies as needed.
  • Supporting students in preparing for public exams and assessing their abilities to help them reach their full potential.
  • Supervising pupils during exams and presentations.
  • Contributing to curriculum development, ensuring that school activities enhance pupils' overall development.

Pupil Engagement:A successful English Teacher will excel at building meaningful relationships with pupils. In this role, you will:

  • Stay informed about safe working practices while maintaining a focus on health and safety.
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team and fellow educators to develop courses, materials, and assessment methods.

General Duties of an English Teacher:In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will be expected to:

  • Prioritise the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils according to school policies.
