Job Title: Electroplating Technician

Location: Hythe, Kent

Salary: £25,350 / £12.50 per hour

Is a leading manufacturing and supplier of components for multiple industries. They offer a 360 degree service from design support, prototyping, assembly to the testing of finished products.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:

  • Analysis and monitoring of chemical solutions.
  • Putting visual controls in place and managing them.
  • Being responsible for the Effluent Plant process sampling and analysis.
  • Monitor all plating activities and the effluent plant.
  • Be responsible for the planning of plating activities.
  • Identify and resolve plating related problems.
  • Carry out and review risk assessments.
  • Operate and monitor electroplating equipment.
  • Apply metal coatings (such as nickel, chrome, or gold) to various components.
  • Prepare components for plating by cleaning, degreasing, and masking.
  • Adjust concentrations and temperatures.
  • Inspect plated components for defects such as thickness, coverage, and finish quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of plating processes.

Experience and skills required for this position:

  • Previous experience of electroplating.
  • Understanding of electroplating principles and chemical handling.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • The ability to problem solve.
  • The ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for long periods of time.
