Electroplating Technician

With over 55 years of excellence, our client is seeking an Electroplating Technician to join their dedicated team in Hythe. This role is integral to their sub-contract component and assembly service. The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight of the electro plating processes and effluent plant management.

Day to day of the Electroplating Technician role:

  • Analyse and monitor chemical solutions within the plating department.
  • Implement and manage visual controls for plating processes.
  • Conduct sampling and analysis for the Effluent Plant process.
  • Monitor all plating activities and maintain the effluent plant operations.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the plating process and plan plating activities accordingly.
  • Identify and troubleshoot plating related problems, ensuring high-quality output.

Required Skills & Qualifications of the Electroplating Technician:

  • Technical education with a focus on Electro Plating or a related field.
  • Qualification in Health & Safety is highly desirable.
  • Ability to carry out and review risk assessments, including COSHH.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Analytical and methodical approach with a knack for problem-solving.
  • Experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry would be advantageous.
